Having completed this unique home located in Whitford Auckland, this stunning property is a testament to Maxum’s craftsmanship to complete such a highly architectural & challenging build.
The entire exterior facade of “Waikopua House” is a remarkable sight to behold. Western red Cedar cladding is cleverly accented by a full height structural glazing face, allowing natural light to pour into the interior of the house.
The building platform is split into 2 structures with back to back radius’s complementing the architecture. This took a high degree of accuracy & carpentry skill to achieve such a complex build.

Perched 30 feet above the ground, this architectural marvel offers uninterrupted views and a truly relaxing experience in a remote location.
The interior showcases exquisite harken wood, creating a cosy & warm feel, the exterior is crafted from Corten Steel which will age beautifully, camouflaging these huts into its native bush surroundings.
This is a true masterpiece in appearance and a true example of our experience, accuracy & eye for detail.

These cabins blend rustic charm and modern convenience with outdoor living. This build features Corten Iron exterior and warm Plywood interior, outdoor kitchen, toilet, and shower that provides you with comfort while immersed in nature. The elevated deck boasts the most incredible panoramic views and a versatile outdoor living space.
Because of the altitude of this property, it was all most impossible to get materials and machinery to the building platform finding ourselves fighting against the elements many times, which made this build even more rewarding.
